An Invitation from Tom and Sarah
Tomorrow we are hugely excited to mark the 10 year anniversary of the partnership between St Augustine’s and HTB at HTB Queen’s Gate. We are looking forward to various guests and congregation members join us as we look back over the last ten years and pray together. Please do join us on zoom at 9am!
In our photos section below, we are could not be more delighted to welcome our newest addition to Queen’s Gate - gorgeous Christine - born to two of our amazing NHS workers, John and Ana Baksi last week. On Sunday we also spotted a congregation member on Sky news outside the Chelsea and Westminster marking 72nd anniversary of the NHS (scroll down to find out who!).
As we continue our focus on the Arts, Pernille has wonderfully produced some home dance videos including Ballet Stretch and Music & Movement classes and has very kindly offered to share these with us. Please do enjoy (providing you read the guidelines listed below).
We so look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!
Lots of love,
Tom & Sarah

Keeping Active with Pernille Charrington
‘Ballet Stretch and Music & Movement are part of my work bringing Dance and Music to the community.
Ballet Stretch is an open Ballet class that works to support balance and co-ordination with adapted enchainements from memorable classical ballets.
The class begins at the Barre where you will learn the basic Ballet positions of the arms and the legs, focusing on correct posture and alignment. This is followed with Pilates Mat work for increased flexibility and core stability.
Dance is a stimulating cognitive activity that connects mind to body. It helps us form social connections and gives us a sense of belonging.
Music & Movement begins with a seated warm up, progressing to standing exercises and sequences that can be done seated to support strength, balance, flexibility and co-ordination.
Music and Movement is choreographed to classical and memorable music to bring the joy and benefits of what music and movement can bring to us all.
I am also reaching out with the possibilities to safely bring back my work during these challenging and different times within Residential Care, Dancing with Parkinson’s and Dance for Dementia.’ Love, Pernille Charrington
*Please note these videos are private links given as a gift from Pernille with guidelines below to read before participating any online class video. We are so grateful to Pernille for sharing her gift to us.

Love Your Neighbour
The HTB Love Your Neighbour campaign has so far helped deliver groceries to a number of our Queen’s Gate congregation as well as link up people for daily/weekly phone calls.
Update: Would you be able to provide hot meals to some of our more vulnerable congregation members? Please get in touch with Joanna - we would love to hear from you!
The Daily hope phone line was launched yesterday by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
“With many in our country on lockdown, it’s important that we support those who are feeling lonely and isolated, whatever age they are."
Archbishop Justin Welby

In our Prayers…
Please pray:
Lord we give you thanks for HTB and Queen’s Gate. We pray you would continue to be with our leaders, Nicky and Pippa Gumbel and give them wisdom of when to reopen the church for meeting together in person. Grow our opportunity to reach people in the neighbourhood and wider through Love Your Neighbour.
We pray for those who feel prevented from expressing their artistic gifts at this time, that they will be blessed with hope and courage that the Lord will provide openings and new opportunities ahead.
We pray for all those in our congregation who are suffering just now. Lord would you bring your healing, peace and reassurance of your comforting presence with them.
God bless you all,
With lots of love, Tom, Sarah, Emmy, Josh, Ruth and Joanna
