Current OPPORTUNITIES
If you would like to volunteer for Love Your Neighbour, we currently need help in the following areas:
Volunteer drivers, HTB Brompton Road
We need volunteer drivers:
25 years+ - with a valid UK driving licence, no points on their licence, comfortable driving the foodbank’s Ford transit van.
You will either deliver food parcels directly to those in need or you will deliver large quantities of stock to foodbanks across London.
Involves heavy lifting
Shift times between 10.30am - 1.30pm and 1.30pm - 4pm
Shifts will be booked at least 3 days in advance
If you would prefer to drive a smaller van or your own car, please still get in touch as we occasionally have smaller drops that you could help with.
Please email neighbourvolunteer@htb.org for more information or to sign up.
Foodbank floor volunteers, HTB Brompton Road
We need volunteer floor volunteers:
18 years + to help with packing food parcels, re-stocking the shelves and cleaning the foodbank.
We especially need help on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10.30am-2pm. Volunteers should bring their lunch with them, but we’ll provide tea and plenty of biscuits.
Please email neighbourvolunteer@htb.org for more information or to sign up
Do you speak another language?
We are beginning to partner with local GPs, offering a befriending service to support vulnerable patients in this time. For many of these patients, English is not their first language.
With this in mind, if you speak another language and would be interested in being a phone friend, we’d love to know!
Please email neighbourvolunteer@htb.org for more information or to sign up.
Face to face debt advice
On Thursdays, we work with Crosslight to deliver face to face debt advice at Brompton Road. All training would be provided and no past experience is necessary.
Finding yourself in debt can be devastating, leading to poverty, family breakdown, mental health problems and a loss of hope. As an organisation Crosslight believe in renewing hope – but they need your help.
Please email sarah.simms@crosslightadvice.org for more information
Tutors needed
Many of the young people on the Spear Programme are in need of support with their education. At the moment we are looking for teachers/tutors/students that can support our trainees with their level 2 in Maths and English as well as other subjects at A level (level 3). For more information please contact Natalie Nash on natalie.nash@htb.org
Thank you so much for your support.
